| U.S. Soccer offers a one-time Crossover option for AYSO referees who are currently Intermediate or Advance level. This option allows an existing AYSO referee in either of those levels to become a U.S. Soccer referee and bypass a few entry level requirements. Crossover referees do NOT need to take the 2-hour virtual (ZOOM) or in-person referee course or the 2-hour field training session. Please note, however, that state and federal compliance trainings are still needed. If you have already completed those trainings, a copy of your certification will be required. To register, go to https://learning.ussoccer.com/ (the Digital Learning Center-DLC). FIRST-TIME REFEREES must set up an account at DLC. Click SIGN UP and REGISTER AS REFEREE. Complete form and click SIGN UP at bottom right. Click I HAVE NEVER HELD A U.S. SOCCER REFEREE LICENSE BEFORE. Step 1: Click REFEREE PROGRAM at the bottom of the screen which will take you to REFEREE LICENSE PATHWAY. Step 2: Click REGISTER FOR A COURSE which will take you to AVAILABLE COURSES. Step 3: Under LICENSES, Click GRASSROOTS FIRST-TIME REFEREES on the left. Step 4: Click GO TO COURSE LIST in red box on the right. Step 5: Under UPCOMING GRASSROOTS FIRST-TIME REFEREES, click COURSE DETAILS in red on the right of 2024 AYSO CROSSOVER TO USSF GRASSROOTS REFEREE. Step 6: Below the action photo, click WHAT DO I NEED TO DO in a red box and proceed, accordingly. Cost: $60.00.
